Could anyone advise which are the best golf courses in the Lake Como area to play.

I would be curious about your opinion.

I'm curious too. My boyfriend is an avid golfer, and I told him there are lots of courses in the area as an incentive for a trip next year.

I have played Circolo Golf Villa d'Este and Monticello. Both are excellent courses but I would like to hear from others who have played the great Italian courses.

Do you know that there is a website/forum for golfers that reviews golf courses around the world? The reviews are from golfers who have personally golfed the courses and they tell you what their level of skill is. I'm sorry i can't remember the name of the website, but trying some google searches is very likely to net you a link to the website.
