Jewelry Shops in Rome

My friends and I will be going to Rome and I was told that the items to buy in Rome are gold jewelry and cameos. If that's true, where are the best places to buy these?

I bought some really lovely cameos in a small jewelry shop in Tivoli, a short bus ride into the hills outside of Rome. Tivoli is worth a visit at dusk, regardless. The jeweler made cameos in the shop and explained the intricacies and how they related to price. Sorry I don't have the name, but I don't recall another shop in the town.

There is a lovely little shop somewhere between Piazza della Rotunda and Piazza Navona, in the backstreets, that sells handmade reproduction jewellery. I bought a pair of "column-style" earrings - 18K gold forming the capital and the drum crafted from local serpentine, copy of an ancient Roman style.

Try La Bijoux (sp?) on Via del Seminario near the Pantheon and Church of Il Gesu. Great location, nice selection and prices, and wonderful people. Enjoy!

I bought a cameo at a small store which I believe was called the Cameo shop. Off of the Via Nazionale across the street from the Hotel Diana. Good prices, I was able to bargain, and a wonderful selection.

Any other shops in Rome for 18k jewelry?
