Jazz clubs in Prague or Budapest
 
Does anyone know of any good clubs to hear straight ahead jazz in either Prague or Budapest? Somewhere nice to sit with a drink and listen to (local?) musicians, that hopefully isn't too smoky.

In Prague, try "Reduta" Jazz Club at Narodni 20 (tel. # 203822) - it's near the National Museum as I recall. Good music but can't promise that it won't be smoky. <BR>

I can recommend following 3 jazz clubs in Prague: <BR>Agharta - Krakovska 5, Prague 1 (+420-2-22 21 12 75), price: CZK 80,- (circa USD 2,5) <BR>Reduta - Narodni 20, Praha 1 (+420-2-24 91 22 46), price: CZK 135,- (circa USD 4,-) <BR>U stare pani - Michalska 9, Prague 1(+420-2-26 49 20), price: CZK 170,- (circa USD 5,-) <BR>All these clubs are in the center, performances are dayly.
