O.K. I am doing my usual prep! I am studying "French for Dummies" an hour each night, checking in with this kind board, and ready eyewitnes "South of France". I remain thrilled to be going in the off season - but now that the tix are purchased, I notice that had I waited one month it would be carnival in Nice! Oh well, I can do that in New Orleans when I get home! This board suggests driving - the research I have done says that it is difficult, especially for tourists. I have driven on all my travels over seas, is this any more challenging? Should I rent a car and just get lost for a day? I think we will spend most of our time doing day trips from Nice on the coastal train. I must play the gaming rooms in Monte Carlo. I will take a good black suit and order a Martini - shaken not stirred!
