I have really enjoyed logging on and catching up on each days exploits. Thanks for taking the time to post and upload your photos.

You have opened up new and interesting places in France for us to explore...and shared it with fun and humourous stories.
Once again thank you!

It has been a real escape reading through your trip report. We love France and agree with aussie_10 that you have opened up some new and interesting places to visit.

We just returmed from a trip when your post showed up. I saved it to read with a lovely glass of cold French Rose.

You have quite a good eye for photos---they're beautiful. It was wonderful to see all of those blue skies(except at Chambord.) The food descriptions and photos add so much to your report. Some of them make me hungry----some not so much!

Thanks for taking the time to entertain the Fodorites with your French adventure.

I think I am having Jamie and Scott trip withdrawals already! Loved your report, you two. Thanks again for sharing your experiences with us - the good and the bad.

Thank you so much for posting to the very end.

I've followed you all the way, and thoroughly enjoyed it, even the graphic descriptions of unmentionable parts of animals!

And like many others here, I shall be looking forward to reading more of your travels - where are you going next? and where?

just reading this now...brilliant!!! so far loving:

-tete de veau

-hidden bottle of wine under sink

-old smelly guy on bus

-trapped parking experience (reminded me of us taking a ridiculously steep and sharp continuous round tiny one laner entrance into a car near bordeaux, only to get to the bottom of that atrocious tight steep and long bend for there to be a huge gate shut.....i truly had to fight back tears and my partner was equally horrified- i am not joking when i say reversing up was not physically possible- and our flight was in 3.5 hours!!!!!!!! thank goodness aften two 3 terrifying minutes of horrow we saw a button and joy of joy the huge gate slowly clicked up)

I just came across this great trip report...it was so interesting and nostalgic and funny.

Thank you both for writing it and for your good suggestions along the way. I have shared a few of your mishaps and challenges on my yearly trips to France. If my GPS says 'Faite un demi-tour aussitot que possible' one more time, I think it's going out the window

And thanks to HG001 for referencing this TR.

I had a great day in Europe (France & Puglia) thanks to you all - without leaving home in WDC.

Loved the story about the staircase in Chenoceau. (I also liked the kitchen there). Wonder what that couple would have had to say about the double helix staircase at Chambord!
