A lot of people have good things to say about London Walks (www.walk.com). If you don't get any other replies, try searching this forum for London Walks or Jack the Ripper.

That should be www.walks.com.

Myer -

My nephew and his wife went on the Jack the Ripper walk last week in London when we were there and loved it. It started about 6:30 p.m. and ended at 9:30, departing from the Tower Hill tube station. The cost was 5 lbs. per person, which the guide wouldn't take until the walk was over. You just meet at the tube station. Again, my nephew and his wife really enjoyed it.
Martha
The Original Walks company was excellent. There were two guides departing (on a Friday night) just outside the Tower Hill underground. There was another company there, but the clear choice was Original Walks. If you can do it on a Friday or Sunday, the guide is Donald Rumbelow, considered an expert on the subject. (he was the consultant hired for the Johnny Depp' movie "From Hell").

I think we've got it straight.

Walks.com is 'The Original Walks' company.

Also, Donald Rumbelow hosts the Sunday evening walk. I think he also does another one as well.

Thanks.

We have always enjoyed John Muffty's Historical Walks of London. They are the same price as the others but tend to draw a smaller group, so that it's easier to stay close to the guide and hear everything. His Jack the Ripper Tour meets at Whitechapel Underground entrance Tues. 7:30 and Sat. 7:00.

I hvae been told that Donald of the Origial London Walks sometimes brings an assistant/second guide to the Ripper walks on Sunday evenings. If the group gets too large, the assistant leaves first, with the half of the group who don't know enough to wait behind for Donald!
