Can you now tell us why you present it as an "official" statement rather than a personal opinion?

ciaony, being a bit defensive, aren't you? I, for one, was merely pointing out that, if "South American destinations [don't] excite [you]nearly s much as Europe" then you have other options for your European travel. You see that as judging and nullifying? I see it as offering helpful advice.

Since you're going to get huffy about it, I don't mind saying that you're missing out on the best kind of fun, the kind that doesn't cost a lot of money.

Doesn't this look just impoverished?...

You might also try sleeping in straw in Switzerland or, if the dollar falls much further, renting a hammock for 100 pesos a night in Mexico. Loads of fun!

Settle down, folks.

Obviously I'm not speaking to everyone, just defending myself against the critics.

I've been posting here for a very long time and I know there are people who say "black" just because someone says "white".

Sometimes obnoxious is met with obnoxious.

Thanks to those who can see it my way and happy travels to all.

I LOVE South America. Except for Africa, which is also awesome, tt is the most undervalued tourist destination out there.

Don't miss Chile, Machu Piccu (Peru), Bolivia (fee like you're stepping into a time warp), Mendoza (Argentina) and I never got to Iguazu Falls but I want to!

I didn't like Rio de Janiero too much (sorry to Brazilians).
