It's GO TIME!!
After a year of planning, my wife and I are leaving 6/24 for 2 weeks in Italy (5 nights Rome, 3 Florence, 3 Venice, and 2 Milan). I have my airplane tickets, train tickets, hotel reservations, tour confirmations for Forum - Colosseum, and for Vatican, museum reservation confirmations for Borghese, Uffizi, Accademia, and Last Supper. Please tell me what I am forgetting? Should I make resteraunt reservations before I get there? Thanks for your help.

Hi A,
Unless it's a special occasion and you really want to dine at a specific restaurant, no don't make reservations ahead. Too often you are nowhere near the restaurant when hunger strikes. Sometimes you can never find the place anyway. If you are highly motivated to eat at a recommended place, do ask your hotel to make a res for you a day ahead. Otherwise, just stroll and pick where ever looks good to you. For the most part, avoid (like the plague) places right around the main tourist sights. Buon apetito! |

Have a wonderful time, I love Venice, with a passion. Dont forget to just chill and savour every moment, it will fly past. Good luck Lucie |
Contact your bank and credit card companies to let them know you are going to be overseas. This way they won't block any charges.

Make sure your ATM card is connected to your checking account, and make sure your ATM pin number is a 4 digit number not starting with 0.
Enjoy. |
