Ciao Everyone,

We've been to Venice, Florence, Orvieto, Rome, Capri, and we are now in Sorrento. There is no relief from the heat, but everyone is having a wonderful time. Not a drop of rain anywhere.

Public transportation (trains) have been on-time, and the new Eurostar (Alta something or other) was great from Rome to Naples: 1 hr., 27 min. door-to-door. We are booked at that new fast Eurostar for our return trip from Naples to Rome on Friday late afternoon.

Since this is my 2nd trip to Sorrento, we may take the hydrofoil out to Ischia tomorrow.

Grandkids are holding up well, but my husband is tired of moving around and he is outside right now at the Grand Hotel Aminta's pool.

Tonight I will try to wave at the Sorrento web cam. Our dinner reservations at O'Parruchiana are at 7:45 p.m. I hope to find the web cam (I have directions) somewhere between 9:00 and 9:30 p.m. Italy time (6 hours less for the U.S.A)

Hello i am kane - how exciting to hear from you as your trip progresses. It all sounds so wonderful!

I'd love to see you via webcam, so let me see if I've got this time thing right. I'm in Texas and we're on Central time. So 9 pm Italy time would be 2 pm in Texas? Maybe someone more astute could give correct times.

We are just back from the entire day at the Amalfi Coast. Our friend drove us to the three towns and we ate lunch at Cumpa Cosimo in Ravello.

On the ride back to the Amita, my son and grandson both got car sick, and we were delayed about 3/4 of an hour on our return. It is now 6:15 and we are deciding whether to cancel our dinner reservations in Massalubrense or to go back into downtown Sorrento and eat at a small place called da Gignio. Their stomachs are upset.

If we do go back down, I will probably be in front of the web cab about 9 or 9:30 p.m.

On to Roma tomorrow afternoon, and we depart for the USA on Saturday morning.

Hi, I missed you too. There is an internet spot right under their web came if you want to tell us at the last minute that you are there!
