England or France? Paris or London?

Which one is your favorite? Rome? London? If you could only go to one place for the rest of your life over and over, which one would it be?

How did Paris morph to Rome?

And - since I don;t have that problem, why should I think about it?

I love them all. Paris, Rome and London. If I had to choose I guess it would be Paris.

Weird question. Paris is my favorite city on earth, but what does Rome have to do with the question?

What does the question have to do with anything? Why do you care where I would spend my time? I love all of them and don't really have the interest in answering a hypothetical question which makes no sense.

Paris. Why are people so rude when answering?

I love Paris best, but I would be happy to visit both Rome and London again too( London being second after Paris, then Rome) . They are all wonderful cities. I love where I live and would never permanately relocate, but if I had to choose one city to relocate to it would likely be Paris.

I don't understand why some people are so upset about the question.. and yes, a bit snippy about it, we aren't talking sex, politics or religion so please relax !

This thread should probably have been posted in the Lounge. I am sorry to the Fodors' police for asking an inartfully phrased question. I will ask the editors to move it to the Lounge. Thanks all.

OK, so this thread was originally posted in the Europe forum but I think it is just a discussion for the sake of discussion, so I asked to move it to the Lounge. Yes, the original post is imperfect. Which city do you prefer?

I like all of them but if I had to choose just one, I think it would be Paris to visit (but London to live in).

When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life. I vote for London to live. Although I'd have to made various weekend trips over to Paris for the wonderful wines, cheeses, baguettes.

London....I was not enthralled by Paris. Didn't hate it or anything, but London I adored and if I was not able to live in the US, I could see myself living in London.
