Getting from Cinque Terre to Zurich

Our trip ends in Cinque Terre and our flight leaves out of Zurich. Is there a pleasant way to travel from Cinque Terre to Zurich on our last day?

You could look at possible flights from Genoa. Otherwise, you will have to train to Milan (with possible changes) and then Milan/Zurich.

The closest nonstop flights to ZRH from the CT are in Milan or Florence. No matter what, it will require a train out of the CT.

Try booking from (say) Monterosso to Zurich at www.italiarail.com

Monterosso to Milan starts at €19, Milan to Zurich via the scenic Gotthard Pass route through the alps starts at €22. An experience in itself - and changing at Milan's magnificent Centrale station, that's a landmark sight in its own right too.
