jamikins, I certainly like how you stick up for your fodor friends but I think mslimit was referring to her "gang" of birthday celebrating friends.
ms, someone in your group really must want to visit Amsterdam but I hope you are able to convince them that your stay is too short to do justice to three cities. It's your birthday--pull rank on them LOL I know it's no fun to work with a budget but jamikins and janisj make great sense dropping Amsterdam from this trip. Paris is a fantastic city to explore with girlfriends--you won't want to leave. If the apartment doesn't work out there is a hotel in the 5th www.hotelhomelatinparis.com that has a double bed apartment as well as the usual double rooms. The location is a good one for nightlife and close to metro/RER Saint Michel/Notre Dame Have fun planning your trip. Deborah |
DeborahAnn - yup, you are totally right, I totally misread that!!! I was completley wrong there and admit it :)
PS - I try to stick up for all! |
Not to worry - I appreciate jamikins standing up for me . . . But I definitely didn't take it as any sort of slam. I figured you were talking to your peeps ;)
|
Folks, I'm feeling the fodor love here ;;) LOL Now Mslimit you just talk those friends of yours into hanging with you in Paris--I know you will be able to plan a very memorable trip for all. Deborah

and most importantly night life!>
Well Amsterdam's coffeeshops where they legally sell cannabis to anyone over 18 (21?) are still swinging - check out hopping places like the Bulldog Palace and other coffeeshops that are popular with young folk - one of the great meeting places in Europe - younger folk from all over the world and you do not have to smoke pot to enjoy this type of place it seems you may be looking for. http://www.thebulldog.com/palace-amsterdam |
LOL...let me just express how HAPPY I have to have found this site - amazing. My group is insisting on Amsterdam, we are Jamaicans *hint* *hint* so I suggested just 1 night there? Please tell me if I am wayyy off. We could leave Paris to Amsterdam, hotel, red light district and the weed places (they are insisting) hahahahaha
@Jamikins gonna wrap our heads or mine around the Ferry idea, I like it alot...Our parents bought all our airfare so we should be able to add to our budget imo too...what do you think? u did say 243 for your trip per couple right? so we will couple up!!! |
Late to the party here but agree with and would emphasize the following:
Boat tour on the Seine is a great, cheap thrill. Big fan of the left bank, Latin Quarter but you also could look in other areas if you find a cheap room. Stay close to the center, though. www.VacationsinParis.com (VIP) is a great site and folks are great to deal with. Just stayed in a fantastic apartment for 4 near Rue Buci. Great location! Their system of coordinating with you works very well. www.4inEurope.com lists quad rooms in all areas and price ranges and I think it is fantastic for finding hotels. It has London covered and may have Amsterdam too... not sure. |
