Itinerary Help

We will be spending 11 days in Portugal in September.

We are flying to Lisbon and spending 4 nights (taking a day trip to Sintra), then renting a car and spending one night in Evora, two nights in the Duoro Valley and 3 nights in Porto and then flying out from Porto.

My dilemma is I have one night between Evora and our hotel near Lamego in the Duoro Valley. I can either stop in Coimbra and visit Obidos on the way OR drive to Belmonte stopping in Marvae on the way.

We are interested in the Jewish history of the Belmonte region, but I have looked at many itineraries and Coimbra and Obidos seem to be two "do not miss" stops.

Thanks for any help from the Portugal travelers here.

Obidos is tiny - a few hours suffices - Coimbra is a fairly large city so if doing that pinpoint your goals to maximize time there.

The Batalha Monastery, UNESCO World Heritage Site is probably also right on the way.
