I'm pretty certain that the water fountain show at Versailles will not take place on a Wednesday - believe this only happens on weekends. As spectacular as the fountains (with the accompanying music) are at Versailles, I wouldn't skip it because the fountains aren't going - especially if this is high on your list of places to see. Just don't want you to be disappointed.

I forgot to recommend the Batobus, too. You can get a multi-day or single day hop-on-hop-off pass, for very little. It goes to the eight major sites in Paris. It's inexpensive, convenient, and beautiful at night.

I'm not surprised I got the fountains wrong, Lynn. I had a surprisingly hard time figuring out the particulars on the Versailles Web site. We still plan to visit, even without the fountains show.

Yes, Vedettes de Pont Neuf leaves and returns at Pont Neuf. Also, last week we had lunch at Mon Vieil Ami on Ile St. Louis, and it was wonderful.
