Italy: Walking Tour Company Recommendations
Hello. My husband & I area traveling to Italy in October, visiting Rome, Florence & Venice. We are interested in guided walking tours of major attractions, food & wine, etc. Can you please let me know if there are any companies you recommend? I've looked into Viator & Walking Tours of Italy -- both had good reviews. If you have recommendations, suggestions , please share! thank you.

Just a quick comment >> I've looked into Viator & Walking Tours of Italy -- both had good reviews. <<
Viator doesn't do any tours. They are merely a re-seller of other company's tours. Any product you find on Viator will also be available from the actual purveyor. |

We have used both Walks of Italy and Context Travel and both were excellent.

Those mentioned are good. So is Free Tours by Foot. You pay what you want and I've always found their tours to be very good.
Context Travel is pricey, and as indicated Viator just books other companies that you can find on your own. If you scroll through the information you see on Viator you can often see who the other company is and book directly. |
We have used Walks of Italy for a night colosseum tour and a food tour in Rome and enjoyed both. On our next visit we will be using Walks of Italy and Context. Context seems to have really good reviews, but is mostly private and semiprivate tours and costs accordingly. You might also look at Walks Inside Italy and Friend in Venice. If anyone has used these companies, I’d also love feedback on them.We haven't used these last two companies yet, but may book for our upcoming trip while in Venice. Erp-feel free to message me. If we’re in the same cities on the same days in October, perhaps a shared private tour is in the cards. |
