Italy (Venice or Chianti)

My wife and I have a day extra while in Florence this coming June. Should we take a train into Venice and back (in same day) or should we consider a guided tour through the Chianti region? Any input and/or suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks.

JD

Stay in Tuscany---see Venice when you have more time.

It would be a shame to miss Tuscany's villages when you visit Florence. A day trip to Venice would not do it justice.

Agreed. Venice is not a good choice for a daytrip from Florence.
