Heathrow to Blackfriars tube station

I am looking to find out which tube station is easiest to change lines from Heathrow to Blackfriars - would it be Hammersmith? We are staying at the Crown Plaza - The City. We will each have a small rolling suitcase only.

Thanks.

I believe it is Hammersmith, you just walk across the platform. Hopefully someone else will confirm that as I have never done it.

It is Hammersmith....walk across the platform to switch from Picadilly line train to District line train (navy blue on the maps to green).....after that the Picadilly line burrow into a deeper tube while the district line remains pretty much just bedlow the surface (you could also make the across the platform change at the next stop i.e.l Barons Court) but by the time the Picadilly line reaches Earls Court it is in a deep hole and the change becomes up a stairway, up an escalator, up[ a stairway. Much more difficult with baggage.
