Currently, the Sita Sud buses aren't running as late as they normally do at this time and neither is the Circumvesuviana.

Caremar does seem to be operating a later ferry than all the other companies Napoli/Capri, but that might not be the case in Oct. (most ferries quit running before dark).

Annw we will definitely return to Ravello for a visit. In 2007 we stayed at Residence La Tavolozzo in Positano. We took the bus to Ravello to soak in those mile high views. We really liked our room in Positano and it still seems like a good value when looking for accommodation in Positano. I initially had planned staying in two spots on the AC. However, now I feel like I will park in Positano and bus to the other spots. We Only visited Ravello last trip, so this time I am planning on visiting Amalfi. Maybe take a ferry to Salerno and see the towns from the water.

Kybourbon, I was looking at the daylight in early October. It is sunrise at 7 am and set is around 6pm. So for my Naples Capri adventure I will need to keep this in mind for return ferry trip.
