I'll have to dumb down the satire with you in the future? You really think I suggested spending that $100 or so on gelato?

I've been to Venice maybe 20 times for several days at a time at times and never cared to do a gondola ride as they seem very plastic and rushed - at least the ones most folks take - I simply do not think it is a must at all but fine to do, don't get me wrong - just that the joys of Venice are not the heavily touristy gondola rides IMO.
