Italy - Places to Stay
Please give me advise on places to stay in each of these places we are budgeting about 300 US$ + or - for each day (inclusive of accomodations, eating and travel):
Rome
Siena - Possibly one day in a tuscan hill town
Venice
Thank you for your help.

I think that means you're looking for accomodations that are around 100-120 E/night depending on how cheaply you wish to eat.
(Trying to clarify so you don't get rec's for hotels that are $300/night).

We stayed in the Hotel Atlante Star in Rome; plain and simple place but very close to the Vatican, if that's a priority for you (and a nice rooftop restaurant). They also did hotel pick-up. In Venice, we stayed at the San Marco Palace, an all-suite hotel. Not too expensive as I recall (this was about 4 years ago), but it was brand new and VERY CLOSE to San Marco Square. Highly recommended. Siena -- we're going there in May and are lining up an apartment to stay in. I much prefer apartments to hotels. Try InItaly.com. They have some nice lodgings. Siena's beautiful. Don't know any hotels there, but don't miss it.
