whistle- Trastevere. Right in view of the Stazione Trastevere regional train station.

basingstoke2- you must get back to Rome! So much to see!

kismet- I consider it my Bella Roma, too. :)

sarge - the last time we were in Rome we stayed in Trastevere too and liked the neighborhood feel of that location. We stayed at the Hotel San Franceso which is on the tram line thus so convenient to go anywhere in the city.
