Italy May: Itinerary HELP!
Hi Everyone,
After considering your advice, I'm going to try to plan a trip to Italy the last week of May 2007, thru part of June for 10 days. I'm hoping you could give me advice on visiting three cities. Last May for our honeymoon I spent 4 glorious days in Rome, took "day" trips to Positano, Capri, Almafi, Ravello, Pompeii, Sorrento, Florence, Monte Carlo & Greece. For our 2nd trip with a limited time of 10 days, I'm tempted to return to Positano and Rome. But I'm also really considering Venice and Tuscany. Any help would be appreciated in narrowing down my cities. My husband and I have an open budget ($500-700 daily hotel), so money shouldnt limit our travel. We want to site see, but ALSO relax enjoying nice dinners... Thanks in advance, Natalie |
I would visit northern Italy this time.Venice,Florence,Siena,Lake Como and the Cinqua Terre are all great places. We loved Venice and Lake Como is beautiful. You could fly into Milan.best regards

Thank you! Its such a hard decision. I wish I could go every year. I'll definitely research your advice.
All the best! Nat |
Hi Nat,
If you enjoyed Positano...I would also recommend the Cinque Terre as one of your stops. You could perhaps fly into Florence and do Tuscany and CT. Tuscany is heaven on earth!! |
Thank you, I will consider CT as well. Any other suggestions for grouping three cities in 10 days?
|
I'd do 3 days Venice, 5 days Tuscany - maybe staying in Siena (with daytrip into Florence or the other way around - staying in Florence and daytripping to Tuscany towns), and 2 days Cinque Terra.
Good luck! |
Thank you, I do like that idea!!!
