It looks to me as though you only have 2 days in Rome ? IMO this is nowhere near enough - I think I've been 5 times for 3 or more days each time & still want to spend more time there.
I agree with Patrick re Capri - in fact I'd go further and say Capri is horrible as a daytrip, but beautiful if you're staying there. When booking for our holiday this summer I looked at alpieagles flights from Venice to Naples but the times were too inconvenient. Plus the taxes etc make it not that cheap. But I did book with Alitalia for only £99.20 for 2. |
Hi h,
Orvieto is a very pleasant town, well worth a daytrip, and would be a restful overnight. It has one of Italy's best restaurants. I Sette Consoli Pzza Sant’Angelo 1A phone/fax 011 39 0763 343911 fixed price lunch 40E pp. ((I)) |
Okay, I'm overwhelmed (but in a good way, I suppose). Although we are drawn to Orvieto and the area, the purpose of this trip is to see Rome and the Amalfi Coast (with Venice thrown in just because we can't resist). On that note, this is our revised itinerary:
Day 1: Rome Day 2: Rome Day 3: Rome Day 4: Positano Day 5: Positano Day 6: Positano Day 7: Sorrento Day 8: Sorrento Day 9: Fly to Venice via Naples Day 10: Venice Day 11: Venice Day 12: Venice Thanks for keeping us focused. Any additional input would be appreciated! =) -- Heather. |
