Italy Itinerary
How many days minimum to see Rome, Florence and Venice without moving at such a pace that you can allot only 6 minutes for the Uffizi? How many days in each city?
|
If 14 - - then 6, 3, 5.
If 10 - - then 5, 2, 3. If 7 - - then 4, 1, 2. Even better, subtract 2 from the 14 allocation and cut some smaller towns or countryside in there. Best wishes, Rex |
This is hard to answer without knowing what you hope to see and do in each of these cities. Although Rex gives you something to think about, not everyone would agree with his numbers. I prefer Florence over Venice, so I'd want to spend more time there. (And I wouldn't stay anywhere for only one day.) If I were travelling in the summer months, I'd probably spend less time in the big cities and more time in the smaller towns, at a lake or sea or in the mountains.
Whatever you decide, consider that you will spend at least a half day checking out of/into hotels and travelling from one town to another. |
Hi Pd,
>How many days minimum to see Rome, Florence and Venice...< 12. If I had only 7, I would skip Rome. ((I)) |
You can make a good dent in 10 days by doing 4-3-3, and that gives you a day to see Siena from Florence---12 is better.
