Italy in October

This will be our first trip to Rome, Florence, Siena and Assisi.
We will be there in October.
What type of clothing should my husband and I take? summer or fall clothing.
Will we need jackets or sweaters?
Thanks in advance.

Hi
when in October? Early October can be warmish, even hot during the day, cooler at night. I always recommend a light outer jacket or heavy sweater to pack at that time.

for historical temperatures, you can check at
www.wunderground.com
then check a forecast (check a few, they differ) before you go
forecasts are available at
accuweather.com
bbc
cnn
etc

Some days we wore sandals, light weight capris and short sleeved shirts.

Some days we wore shoes, socks, jeans, long sleeved shirts and hooded jackets.

Hi Lydel,

Best to layer, that way you will be ready for anything.

We had lovely weather during mid October, Florence just a titch cooler than Rome, but both were lovely.

Layer, that's the ticket.

:)
