7 days in Tuscany - Montepulciano, Villa Poggiano or Cortona, Villa Marsili? would appreciate any info

Both towns are quite lovely and very steep, if that is an issue for you at all.

If doing southern Tuscany, Montepulciano is a good base, and if doing areas to the east and Umbria, Cortona would be better.

Try to decide on some of the towns, sites, art, etc. that are important to you on this visit, and then decide which location would suite those choices best.

Try to find a good, detailed map of Tuscany to help with your decision.

Montepulciano is better located for my favorite parts of Tuscany. Get the book TOP 10 TUSCANY by Reid Bramblett for more details.
