Stay in Venice the total time. We are going back for our 4th time for a week in Sep.
|
Yep - Venice for sure. We spent nine weeks there at Christmas, and will be going back in two years.
Someone may correct me - but I think that the N (Night) ferry runs to Guidecca all night. Not sure. |
I just checked - The "N" - Night ferry does run to Guidecca - but the hostel may have a curfew.

I had planned on 2 day venice 1 day Florence and 2 day rome.......but now I am totally confused...stayin at one place sounds really good....but not going to Rome when ur in Italy
Ah, but you're also going to miss the Amalfi Coast, and the Cinque Terre, and all the Tuscan hilltowns, and, and, and ... No matter how long you go for, you will still leave many wonderful places unseen. Make peace with that and allow yourself enough time to enjoy the places you do go to. |
I agree with the above. Trying to do 2 days in Venice, 1 day in Florene, and 2 days in Rome is not a good idea. You will spend most of your time changing hotels and being on trains or in train stations. Less is truly more. With 5 days stay in 1 place. Or maybe Venice and Florence.
But you really need to factor in losing 1/2 a day when you change locations - checking out, getting to the train station, taking the train - assuming its on time - getting to the next hotel, checking in - phew...it all takes more time then you anticipate. With such a short time less is truly more...you will be able to relax and truly enjoy Italy! |
Thanks a lot for all the help :):). It definitely has helped a lot to plan my trip.
I am gonna stick to venice and maybe Florence. |
Follow advise of the wise and well traveled.
