Italy: Hotel quote/booking etiquette
Hi, what do I do about a room rate quote that I do not want to accept? Is a polite "thank you but.." necessary/preferred? It's a medium sized hotel for those interested several months away.
Thanks in advance :) |
oops.. that should be - the quote was for a booking several months away

No reply is necessary. In fact, with lots of hotels in Italy, they will not reply if they don't have availability for your requested stay.
If I'm communicating via e-mail,however,I will usually respond with a short thanks but no thanks. It's so easy to do.Trust me,though,I doubt they're sitting by the computer waiting for a reply. Most hotels (especially the ones regularly recommended here) receive soooo many requests for information. |
Hi V,
It is always polite to respond to a letter, fax or email even if your response is, "No, thank you". ((I)) |
Thanks massagediva and ira! :)
