italy honeymoon advice- need help

i have never been to europe and am planing a italy honeymoon this november. we have 10 night in italy.

arrive in venice day1
venice 2 nights
rent car in venice to florence 2 nights
florence to siena 2 nights
siena to rome 3 nights.

does this sound reasonable. i want to rent a car because my fiance loves to pack heavy. is it worth it to stay 3 nights in venice in november, or should we add a night some where else. we alreay bought the plan tickets through AA, so cannot back out of venice now.
also, would we be better not staying in florence and doing florence as a day trip from siena.
is 3 nights in rome enough.
we are in our mid and late 20s. we were wondering which cities would be the most fun. we heard venice is dead at night. we are not looking for nights clubs but a late night wine bar would be great.

Hi bh,

If your fiance insists on packing heavy, you might as well rent a car - as expensive and impractical as it may be.

Will you be using your car just to get from city to city or will you wander through the countryside?

>...is it worth it to stay 3 nights in venice in november,...<

Yes

>..we heard venice is dead at night. <

It's not.

>..would we be better not staying in florence and doing florence as a day trip from siena.<

I would do Sienna as a daytrip from Florence.

Hi bh,

>...i would like to see the country side.<

I suggest that you fly into Venice for 3 nights, rent a car and spend 4 days driving to Rome.

Drop the car and see Rome for 3 days.

Maps and travel instructions are available at www.viamichelin.com and www.mappy.com.

Enjoy your honeymoon.

Hello - if you enjoy the countryside you should see tuscany. I have never been in Nov, since it may be cool at a farm location you may want to sat near or in siena and then day trip to montepulciano, or chianti. See a couple of wineries and relax and enjoy the views.

Venice is not a party town ala New Orleans, but there are many places that stay open late. fodors.com has a list.

Train Venice to Florence,1 night, rent a car and go into Tuscnay! Stay near Siena (not in it) and explore from a home base: 4 nights. www.tuscany.net. Or 2 nights in Chianti region, 2 nights south nearb Montepuliciano. Last 2 nights ROme since you have to fly out of there.
