italy honeymmon help

we are taking a late honeymoon to italy. is this too much to cover for an active couple who enjoys learning more than touring? we want to see the sites, and relax. 3 days rome, 2 florence, 2 venice, 2 cinque terre ..any help much appreciated.

Too much! You'll lose at least 1/2 day travelling between cities and end up seeing only a little in each place. Considering this is your honeymoon I'd keep it simple. Stick to just two places and spend 4 days in each: for example, Venice and Florence with a side trip to Siena or Lucca/Pisa; or Venice/Verona and one of the lakes; or Rome/Naples/Pompei; or Florence and a few days driving in Tuscany or Umbria.

Hi Sally,
I agree with your other response - it is too much and you will spend too much time travelling between places and not really seeing much. Concentrate on 2 or 3 or you definately won't have time to relax as well.
I live and work in Rome and can give you quite a bit of advice on how to best utilise your time there. You don't say at what time of year you are planning on being here?
If you would like to email me direct (or anyone else that needs help)I can give you more advice including help with where to stay, restaurants and what to see etc.
Regards
Marianna

Definitely no time to relax, unless being 'on the road' is realxing for you. You can easily spend a week just site-seeing in Rome. I agree with the others, concentrate on 2 major places maybe with an overnight in a small town in between.
