italy from May 13-28 VS Early June

Hi!!

Last time I visited Italy in May(13-28) there was a day of rain in FL, one in Rome but rest of the days were actually warm and evenings were not too cold.

How is Italy in early june -first two weeks? My folks are going this May and I don't wnat them to get stuck in rain as they are in Fl and Rome and Venice for just 2 days at a time - Plus spanish steps looked alive with flowers, in May there were no flowers - I saw this pic on a website and then again that might have been taken in July/August!

anyway does it get super hot June 1st/2nd week - my dad can't stand the heat and my mom can't stand the cold! And I just want them to LOVE italy like I did. :)

Don't want to hit you with too much cynicism and sarcasm, but what I love about Italy (make that the top 100 reasons I love Italy) have essentially nothing to do with weather.

And surely you know that weather forecasting is not precise enough to say that one 2-week segment versus another is going to have such'n'such characteristics!

Anyway, I don't understand the beginning of this paragraph...

<<How is Italy in early june -first two weeks? My folks are going this May>>

That sure sounds like the decision os already made!

The biggest problem of all may not be the weather, but rather...

<<they are in Fl and Rome and Venice for just 2 days at a time>>

Who put them on this sprint? Is their whole trip to Italy just six days?

I understand your concerns, but I don't understand what kind of answer is going to get you over them.

Best wishes,

Rex

Right I just wanted opinions on how different the weather is between May and early June - they are in the process of planning their trip and may change it depending on the weather.

Hi trav,

>they are in Fl and Rome and Venice for just 2 days at a time <

STOP!

This won't work no matter which days they go.

May is better than June - slightly cooler weather and fewer tourists. But I agree with others 2 days each in Florence, Rome and Venice with travel time from one to the other and they won't really remember much about anything including the weather!

Let me clarify - 3 in Rome, 3 in Fl, 2 in Venice, 1 in Milan, and then off to Switzerland for 5 days. Yeah more days in Italy would have been awesome indeed but they couldn't accomodate that right now on this trip.
