italy for first time

Here is what I've booked so far:
Panda in Rome 11/2-11/8
b&b Peterson in Florence 11/14-11/18
Locanda Barbarigo Venice 11/18-11/22
What to do between 11/8 to 11/14? How many
cities can we tour in Tuscany in November?
BTW it's me and my husband.

You'll have no problem finding places to visit in Tuscany in November. Just rent a car for that period of trip. You won't need one for the rest.
All in all, it sounds like the trip of a lifetime.

I would recommend staying a day or two in umbria assissi especially incredible place. It would be worth your time to look into it not a bad train ride from rome or florence

Rent a car in Rome, drive to Orvieto for lunch, make at stop at Civiti di Bagnorini (sp), and continue on toward Pienza. Spend the five days in that area visiting the hill towns of Montepulciano, Montalcino, and Siena. Drive into Florence on the 14th and return the car.

Hi,

Good advice.

In Orvieto, try to have lunch at one of the best restaurants in Italy:
I Sette Consoli
Pzza Sant?Angelo 1A
phone/fax 011 39 0763 343911

If it's still warm, you might be able to eat in the garden.

You might want to consider an overnight in Orvieto.

ira, is that a phone or a fax telephone number?

I'm thinking of making a reservation on our second day in Italy before I head up to Montepulciano. I mentioned it to my wife and her response was "40 Euro each for lunch + wine??" (I'm the wineaux). ((a))

Is it worth it?((b))
