Today I purchased Delta airlines tickets from Chicago to Rome June 29-July 12 2005 for $560 including tax and fees.

That's amazing! I'm wondering though, not to rain on your parade but isn't Delta in financial trouble?

Aw, don't be a party pooper! That's a heck of a good airfare. Besides, UAL and Continental aren't they in fin. trouble too and they're still flying. The airline won't just fold up in a year I'm sure-bankruptcy protection.

Delta is not in bankruptcy/Chapter 11 at this time. They are still trying to get the pilots to agree to a pay cut to cut costs which has been going on for awhile(which most of the US carriers are trying to do-lower labor costs). United and US Air are the only two carriers presently in Chapter 11.Brandonrossi-thats an unbelievable price to go to Rome!

This is a fantastic price brandorossi, although that Delta is not my favourite's airline..Congatulations...

You may not be flying Delta - when I bought tickets using Orbitz, the listing was for Delta, but I actually flew Alitalia.
