To: Sherry,

A Mud Bath?? I never would have considered it, believe me. However, having a week of nights and one day to play in Montecatini, and your advice, I WILL play in the mud! Now, please describe this "experience." Do I need a reservation? I'm sure my hotel can advise, but I don't want any surprises.
Thanks for the "squishy" advice!

Freida

Hi Frieda. Not my cup of tea either. But my daughter, 30 at the time, thought it was wonderful. But there is a whole list of different beauty treatments you can do.
We called the central reservation office and picked this particular treatment out of all of the choices. I still have the bill with a telephone number if you want. I will start looking for it. E mail me.
I didn't spend much time in the town, but it looks great. Very clean and quiet. We made reservations ahead of time. If I remember correctly, when I called the central reservation number they directed me to the place where the mud baths are. So maybe each spa has a specialty. I had to call twice to get someone speaking English on the phone. There is also a web site. I will try to find that too. Maybe armed with some information, your hotel will be able to direct you.
