Italy car rental
Has anyone used Easy Terra car rental in Italy? I came across their website and checked car rental for Lamezia Terme and found their company to be $100 less than other car rentals.(Easyterra.com) Thanks
|
We went to Italy last year and rented our car before we went through AutoEurope. They had the best rates and are a great company to deal with.

I normally rent through AutoEurope. Twice I rented through Car Rental Express. The first time was great, the second time was a disaster and ended up costing me hundreds more than going through AutoEurope. So, while it looked like I saved on the front side, it cost me in the end. From now on I stick with AutoEurope.

I seem to find the best prices through kemwel.com
|
When I select a car for our upcoming Italy trip, I come up with the same car for $340 vs $420 from Auto Europe. The $340 quote from Easyterra...seems to be from ....Auto Europe if I click through the terms and conditions...
Anybody have experience buying from a broker..from a broker...from a car rental agency... |
I too am an AutoEurope renter (several times now). I know that they "match prices" if you find anything less expensive with another company. I have never taken advantage of that (too lazy to keep looking at other options), but I have a travel friend who has made good use of that guarantee with much luck.
I have found Auto Europe to be so great to deal with that I wouldn't look elsewhere myself. And if you are interested, you can always keep checking other prices and they will match. Happy Travels, LisaG |
Just for the heckuvit, (so far anyway) I played along and booked on Easyterra. I received a voucher from Auto Europe (Germany)to pick up a FIAT Grande Punto diesel at AVIS in Orvieto and drop it at Malpensa - 9 days for $350 (in Euro) sweet deal except it has high deductables for CDW and theft 1000/2000 euros. I will probably keep it, though. I did some research and found a few hits on Easyterra, mostly good reviews. basically I seem to be renting through Avis through Auto Europe through Easyterra....

Hey cuso,
Thanks for the post. I had a reservation at Europcar via AutoEurope by way of Kemwel for $113. I found the same car at easyterra for 65E ($89), with Zero Deductible. I called Kemwel and was told that easyterra is a "sister agency" - ie, booking through easyterra gets you the European rates from AutoEurope. ((I)) |
Ira-
How did you get the zero deductible from easyterra?- I didn't see any options on insurance and I am a little squeamish (although not going anywhere horribly risky except Italy in general). Are you renting in Italy or elsewhere? Rick |
Thanks Ira for confirming what I thought I was understanding. I will continue to research before booking but at least this is another option. Also, thanks to posters for info on Kemwel and Auto Europe.

there are not persons that can you trust , they want only to take your money , the service is not good . I have made a reservation and i was waiting for the voucher all the time before to arrive at the airport and i have no receive it. the result was that i did not take the car and i have lost my money... it's better rent a car directly from the companies !!!!!! |
