Italy by Train--can I see Capri?

We will be training it from Venice to Florence to Rome, all in 10 days. Is there any time to fit in Capri? We were thinking of taking the train from Rome to Naples and then a ferry to the island for a couple of days, but since this is our first time to Italy, is this rushng the itinerary too much? Advice needed!

Yes that is too much. You are going to have such a nice time, you will want to go back. Your trip is perfect as it is, for 10 days

Anything can be done.

It depends to what level you expect to see the sights.

If you start in Venice (2 days), night train to Naples and then over to Capri (2 days), then back to Rome (2 days) and a quick overnight to Florence (2 days) and back to Rome (2 days) to leave you could probably do it.

Hopefully, seeing all museums is not a goal.

I did the trip to Capri that way and did not feel that it was worth it...I agree that there are so many other things to see...Is it doable..yes, it is worth it, no
