Italy- anything crazy to do?

This is my first trip to Italy. I have two weeks and will vist Rome and Venice for sure. More I hope. I have ran with the bulls, done octoberfest, white water sleding in NZ and cliff jummping in many countries. Just looking for something different and a little(lot) crazy to do while there. Any suggestions?

Try the birdcage funicular in Gubbio (Umbria). It feels like you are flying up a mountainside.
My husband was terrified and I giggled the entire time--either way, it's a very unusual way to travel.

Swimming the Grand Canal (just kidding!).

More seriously, I read about someone who rented a boat and went around Venice that way. It sounded fun.
