Italy 2011 - Itinerary Advice

Oh the itch after coming back....how I miss Italy and its food.
I got FF tickets for middle June to Milan MXP and I need help putting a organized itinerary.
My preliminary itinerary is.....
1-2 Milan
3 nights Maggiore or Garda
3 nights Venice
Then go South
3 nights Rome
5 Sardenia
3 nights Capri
3 Sorrento o some town in Amalfi
Sicily or Greece

I believe we will do 4-6 weeks, depending where we have to come back from as I still don't have return tickets, nothing is posted yet after July 8.

I forgot before Rome we are going back to Rapallo and then Cinque Terre for 3 nights.

Have you been to any of these places before?

If I had 4-6 weeks, I'd go slower, move around less and explore in depth. You've already got your flight into Milan, but from mid-June I would have started south and worked north although the early timing for Venice is good.

Some, this past July we were the whole month in
Rapallo, Manarola, Sorrento, Roma, Lake Como then Switzerland.

I could go South first, but I'm not sure where we are coming back from so I would check into flying from Naples if possible.

Thanks
I'm trying to get some rentals in Maggiore and this time and in Venezia, in Cinque Terre we will stay in Monterosso. This year we stayed in Manarola and when trying to swim I slipped and ended up at the Pronto Soccorso in La Spezia, so I'm done swimming where there is no beach.

Any advice on rentals for apartments or agriturismos greatly appreciated.
