Italy 16-20 sept Landing in Trieste 2 days in venice , +2 days (where?)

Hi Guys

I have booked my flight for Trieste on 16th sep - 20th sep

I will be spending two days in venice for sure, i cant decide where should i spend other 1-2 days? i want to be back in trieste on the 19th night.. so that we dont have to travel on the day.

But i would like to go to one another city, and i cant decide which one
Florence or Milan

How much roughly i am looking to pay for my hote/bed&breakfast

wha tthe cheapest i can get as long as it is decent enough.

Should i hire a car if go from venice - florence?

please help me decide -- car or train?
towards Milan or Florence?

or shall i even consider driving to dolomites and leave Milan and Florence out together,

Please help, i would like to go to more scenic place.

regards + Thanks in advance/
rucky

I suggest taking a train to Florence. Do a search on venere.com for sleeping options for your budget.

Ruckya,

If you only have 2 days, it's just not worth going to Milano or Florence. You just don't have enough time. You'll spend most of the two days traveling. Since you are flying out of Trieste, you will have to get back there to leave.

How about visiting Trieste or the surrounding countryside? If you are ready to hire a car, you can visit nearby Slovenia or Croatia (Opatjia). In a couple of hours driving, you can get to beautiful Bled. Have you considered these options?

However, since it's only 4 days total, I recommend spending them all in Venice or Trieste.

Please, please do not view Trieste merely as the place your plane lands and departs...it is fascinating all by itself and deserves one of your precious days. Add Venice and leave it at that.

Ruck:

Check out my web page on our trip to Slovenia, Croatia AND Trieste. It's all there. The URL is below. As for distances, check Google maps, and for air prices, I have no idea. I would think that the train is the best option between Venice and trieste.

However, I still think that with only 4 days, you should concentrate on Venice and Trieste.
