Italy

We are planning our first trip to Europe in September. I have been told to see Lake Como ot Komo (spelling) that is the most romantic place ever. I can't find info on it. Am I mispronouncing? Thanks....

It's Lake Como and, yes, it's definitely worth a visit. Do an old fashioned search on your computer using Lake Como, Como, Bellagio and you'll undoubtedly come up with lots of useful information. The Lake Como area is near Milan (about 40-50 miles west of there) in Northern Italy.

While Howard and I (and countless others here) will agree that Lake Como is WONDERful - - indeed, perhaps, the "most romantic place ever".<BR><BR>But i disagree that an old-fashioned search will easily yield much information about Lake Como. It seems an odd quirk that one of the best places in Italy is a difficult target (especially on the Internet) to find useful information about.<BR><BR>You CAN find a few websites - - and some noteworthy ones are form unlikely sources - - personal webpages, for example of those who have had great vacations there. For example:<BR><BR>http://members.aol.com/melefuji/PageVarenna.html<BR><BR>or<BR><BR>http://www.virtualtourist.com/m/.83973/1195/?s=w<BR><BR>Two sites that give you some useful information (but not so inspiring) are<BR><BR>http://www.lagodicomo.com/menu-ing.html<BR><BR>and<BR><BR>http://www.bellagiolakecomo.com/index_MAIN.html<BR><BR>Best wishes,<BR><BR>Rex<BR>
