Bob-
Wonderful pictures! I had not realized that the Drumcliff cross was a replica! The sign below did not say that and we didn't get to go into the church or visitors centre as we were there about 9pm. (Plans for future week in Sligo/Donegal!)
I would also love to beg a copy of the Carrick-A-Rede bridge view looking down onto the water for my scrapbook- (we were with a tour group and being rushed) if that is even possible?
Cannot wait for your report and the details that go with the pictures!

Joan and Caph52:
Thanks for your kind words and encouragement.
Bill:
Coomatush is located in Millstreet, Co. Cork. Those pix are from 2005 - The Guilty Pleasures Tour. Sadly, due to insurance concerns, the new owner of the farm that must be passed through to get to the Falls has closed off access. Hopefully, Legislation MAY be enacted to shield landowners from liability claims, but until then, we may possibly have been the last tourists allowed in to see it.
Dawn: The pix are public. You are welcome to whatever ones you want or like. If they aren't downloadable or printable from the site, email me juno.com using remprimo and I'll attatch the jpeg file to my reply.
Pretty much EVERY high cross and stone artifact in the Republic has been duplicated and the originals spirited off to Dublin for preservation and protection.
I am working on a short, factual account of our trip. My typically long-winded, OVER detailed, step-by-step account will follow later.

The rope bridge is Carrick-a-Rede in Northern Ireland, west of Ballycastle on the north coast.

Bob,
Was very glad to meet you and your lovely O'Driscoll lady. Great pix. Your are a better photog. Than I. Your pix of the Gap of Dunloe are great, I have walked it twice and hope to do it again. It was a shame that the square was not pefect due to the construction but there is always next year.

John --
Wanted to thank you and Barbara for the invite and the welcoming introductions. We had a number of my wife's family from Cork that joined us on the night. They agreed that the Clan Gathering was excellent. A good time was had by all. Couldn't have asked for better weather on Friday night -- particularly in light of how the most of June turned out.
How was the rest of your trip? We still haven't made it to the Arans, yet. I'm hoping to rectify that, this coming year.
Thanks again, for including us in the festivities.

Just wanted to let you know that I was able to get a copy of the Carrick-A-Rede bridge shot, my scrapbook will now be perfect!
I am very happy to credit you for it in my journaling and should anyone looking think that we had an Italian Chauffeur along on our trip... well- all I can say is- "Thank you James, you can take us home now"
Can't wait for your report!
