I am going on a honeymoon and wanted to go to the italian riviera. Could you please let me know what place you recommend that would be romantic.

Lisa, That term can refer to about 300 <BR>miles of the Italy coast--can you be more specific, or are you just looking <BR>for a good honeymoon location. I assume <BR>you mean the Ligurian coast south of <BR>Genoa. When are you going and how long do you plan to stay in Italy? Let us know more and we can help.

Two yrs go we stayed in Rapallo; Portofino and Santa Margherita were close and we took the bot over. We were there in October and the view was <BR>unbelievable. Sort of touristy; with lots of older people around, retired and <BR>traveling. The whole area is o beautiful with the towns up the hillsides on the water. We had a great time; good luck. I think in Italy, you can never go wrong....enjoy it all, wherever you go.

Hi Lisa, you have an enormous number of places to choose from but if it was me, I would have loved Sorrento, south of Naples, for my honeymoon. I don't think it's actually regarded as the Riviera but is a lovely area. There are lots of places for daytrips, Pompeii, Capri, Amalfi coast, etc. Sorrento has views to die for, lots of shops and restaurants, good weather (depending on when you visit of course), and I thought it very romantic. <BR>Do some more research, on the internet, and also browse in the travel section of large book stores to see what appeals to you. <BR>Good luck with the research. <BR>Kay

hi lisa,i was in cinque terre and portofino/santa magherita for my honeymoon too.santa magherita is an upmarket town with lots of luxury shops.portofino is more quaint but still expensive.for rugged romaticism try the cinque terre towns.monterosso's the biggest but vernazza is the prettiest.try the hotel on top of the hill in monterosso (forgot the name) for its magnificent views!e-mail me if u need.
