Well, I needed to look it up for my own reasons anyway; so there!

I think I now know whay I couldn't think of any.

The two best seem to be Riviera Ligure di Ponente, which is a DOC; and Rossesse Di Dolceacqua also a DOC.

But noticeable the atlas I'm using divides most regions into "fin" and "other" wines. It doesn't do that for Liguria.

I refer you back to the olive oil

We enjoy our olive oils here in Sydney as well. There are many groves and producers here now. A friend has a massive modern Italian press at Mudgee NSW. I suspect we will get better oils than vino varietals from Liguria. This thread is very helpful for our up and coming trip to Italy. Knowledge of any outstanding new Italian wines is greatly appreciated. I will spend some time reading throught the book I mentioned earlier - The New Italy. Thanks again.
