Italian Museum Passes

Does anybody have any instight into buying museum passes for Milan, Florence, and Rome. I have been told that I should buy these in advance, is there a website where I can do this, or do I need to go to each individual museums site. Please advise, thanks.

The concierges or front desk staff will generally make these arrangements for you. There is no charge and it is an easy way to make the arrangements.

I have confirmed for the Accademia and Uffizi already for my fall trip and they will also take care of the Borghese Museum as soon as the books open for my requested date.

thanks for the info. kfusto, will the conceierge make these arrangments for me before I arrive? I am afraid of waiting that long for fear of not getting in.

On my last trip I used this site for info and got the tix ahead -
ciaolaura/museumtickets. Not sure about using a concierge since I stayed at a place that didn't speak much English, but there are a few sites that offer reservations beforehand so that you don't have to mess with it during your trip. There is another site that offers walking tours too - artviva (or Original Walking Tours)? that I used in Florence and it was great because I did it right when I got there and then knew where I wanted to go afterwards, based on what I saw along the way. Very informative and not too big (No flags, which I hate!!!) The people in the office were also very helpful with my questions about the city.
