Siena Volterra San Gimignano or restaurant recommendations

Does anyone have any memorable meals to share in any of these three locations. Not find dining or cheap eats, just good solid local fare. Thanks

Ate at Zest last week and thought is was quite good. A few years ago we ate at Antica Osteria da Divo which was also very good.

Have the veal Marsala at the dining room in the Hotel Cisterna.
In the heart of town--hard to miss---San Gimignano that is.

We've enjoyed two good meals in Siena at Osteria La Sosta di Violante Trattoria (near Il Campo) and Fonte Giusta (along via Camollia).

Do yourself a favour and download Judy Witts Francini's free app that covers Chianti, Siena, San Gim.

https://divinacucina.com/app/

It is worthwhile to do this as she's an expert on the area and has a lot of good places listed.

We were in Tuscany in April. Our favorite restaurant in Siena was La Taverna di San Guisippe. It is a five minute walk down a narrow alley from Il Campo. Delicious food in historic surroundings. The place used to be a house in Etruscan times and you can see the remnants of it when you walk down in to the wine and cheese cellar. Da Divo and Le Logge are two other restaurants in Siena we have enjoyed on previous visits. Da Divo is also built in to an old Etruscan cave......San G. - Someone mentioned the restaurant in La Cisterna Hotel. That is where we had a nice lunch one day. Most people were sitting downstairs or outside in the Square, but we sat upstairs at a window table overlooking the Tuscan hills. The food was pretty good but it gets an A+ for atmosphere.
