Italian language classes in NYC area

If anyone has a recommendation for Italian language classes either in NYC, Westchester or southern CT, please share! I learned about 50 words through the Pimsleur cd's for our recent trip, and would love to learn more for our return trip next summer. Thanks so much for any information!

Parliamo Italiano (http://www.parliamo.com/) is superb. But my favorite is any class taught by Giuseppe Manca, who runs the Italian Language department at The New School. I've tried most offerings and these places are the best. Your retention is very much linked to a teacher's method of teaching. Good luck.

I attend Parliamo, and can vouch that they are good.

Thanks both of you! I'll check them both out.

awbaker,

I'm in southern Westchester, and have been taking private classes with a Berlitz instructor who comes to my house since she lives very close to me. You can probably find out about this option by calling the Berlitz office in White Plains, which also offers evening adult classes.
