Italian Lakes & Tuscany

Planning a trip that can include Lake Como area and Tuscany. We would like to include visiting Cinque Terre. Does anyone know whether Vernazza has recovered enough for a visit?

What happened to Vernazza?

According to Rick Steves, it has. Check out his site.

Terrible mudslides in the fall caused some coastal trails to close. Vernazza was damaged the most.

I was in Vernazza on May 1. Lots of construction equipment and noise. A few shops are open-not many. The main pedestrian street straight down from the train station is only open about half way down, then you turn right and go down a narrow ally to the water. Maybe by the time of your trip, it will be better.

By the way, you do realize that 3 of the towns were unaffected? Riomaggiore, Manarola and Corniglia.
