Italian Computer Keyboards: any differences from US?

Hi everyone,
I seem to remember that someone mentioned in his post that there were some different symbols on an Italian computer keyboard, (for instance, the @ being "missing") and now I can't seem to "search out"/locate that info.

We plan to keep in touch with family through internet cafes along the way and want to be prepared (being only minimally computer-savvy). Thanks in advance, for your help.

Every language has its own keyboard.

Here is an Italian keyboard: http://homepage.mac.com/chinesemac/L...cs/Italian.jpg

(All you have to do is go to Google images and type 'Italian keyboard' -- duh!)

some of the symbols are in diffremnt locations but fairly easy to figure out except the @ ("cuchola") key.

The @ sign is on the right hand side close to “enter” and you need to press Ctrl+Alt+@.

Sampaguita, thank you for your quick and most kind response! :> Your information is exactly what I was trying to remember!

kerouac, thank you for the "visual".
