It seems lately people are answering the question they think you should have asked instead of the one you did ask.

Thanks for the thoughts and insights. I agree there are times in which misinformation, unfounded assumptions or other good options should be pointed out. I guess I am thinking more about times in which a possible response is anticipated and the poster gently tries to head it off but that attempt is ignored (one example posted above; another would be something like "Please assume this will be our one and only trip to XXX" and someone posts "You can always go back."
I was really trying not to be personal with this, and I think attitude does have a lot to do with it. I appreciate the normally very helpful, positive attitudes on this site.
For those who do like to get personal: I am not new here; and adrienne, my answer was to the OP's NEXT question, posted two below the original question, asking "have you been to Lake Como, what did you like best of this area?"
Thanks all.

I think what you meant to ask is that it seems that lately people are asking the question they think you should have answered instead of the one you did answer.

bakerstreet~ Sorry I was trying to be funny when I asked if you were new around here.
Because people always have done this... I think it's just the nature of a public forum, for people to express their own personal opinions and be a bit liberal about the scope of what they choose to reply in relation to the original question(s) asked.
