russ, thank you! It's so much fun to see this report again! It was the first time we were really there long enough to immerse ourselves and see beyond the "main" sights, and it amazes me how much we did cover!

yestravel, thanks! I agree with you, seeing old TRs, even if they aren't current conditions, certainly can open up new possibilities. What's amazing is seeing that so many places still exist!

Anyway, right now it has been grey and rainy for the last week or so (a bit of brief sun in the earlier period). With a little bit of luck (?) we will see snowflakes in a few days.

A few snowflakes can be lovely - until it’s a bit more than a few! Here in NYC, we saw a flurry of two yesterday afternoon. I wouldn’t mind being in Paris, either.

Hope the sun shows up, too!

We spent a week in Paris in August 2012 and had beautiful sunny weather the entire stay. I guess it's the time of year??? Speaking of snow, we spent Thanksgiving with our daughter who lives in Vermont, and they got several inches of snow this past Friday. Several inches is pretty. Went to a Christmas tree farm on Saturday and cut our tree that was covered in snow. But I digress, from Paris to Vermont! I hope the sun comes out in Paris!

We've been in Paris when it has snowed -- so very pretty. The times we've been there it melts quickly. People drew hearts on cars with their names -- so sweet.
